About JustAnswer Memberships

  • To check your membership status:

    1. Click My Account at the top of the page.
    2. Click Membership on the left panel.
    3. If you are enrolled in a membership, you will see a message that "your membership includes free questions with all kinds of Experts." If you do not see this message, you are not enrolled in a membership.

    If you did not enroll in a membership, but noticed charges on your account, it is likely that the charges are associated to a question you posted. To review your payment information and recent questions, visit the Order History page.

    Please note that your JustAnswer account will remain active even if you cancel your membership. Once your membership is cancelled, you will not receive recurring monthly charges and will only be charged when you post a new question.

  • JustAnswer is a membership service that will automatically charge your membership fee monthly. You’ll first be charged when your 7-day trial ends, then once every 30 days, though it may take a few days for the charge to post to your account.

  • JustAnswer will charge $5 when you post your initial question. If you've enrolled in the membership, you will be charged the membership fee at the end of the trial period.

  • There are several reasons why you might be asked to pay for your question, although you are enrolled in a membership. Some of the reasons include but are not limited to:

    • You are not logged into your account. Please log in and try posting your questions again.
    • You are enrolled in a 5 questions per month plan and have already asked 5 questions during your billing period.
    • The Expert offered you an Additional Service such as a phone call, secure remote assistance, and document preparation.
    • Your payment failed. Update your payment information here.
    • You are not enrolled in a membership.

  • Your subscription fee will be charged after your free trial ends (usually after 7 days). However, if your subscription offer did not include a free trial and stated that your current question is included, then you will only be charged for your subscription fee.

    Subscription Legal Details

    • Subscription Benefits: Ask verified Experts as many questions as you would like in any category during the length of your subscription, subject to the Fair Use Policy (described below).
    • Payment Terms: By signing up for a subscription, you are authorizing JustAnswer to automatically charge a subscription fee each month or year you are enrolled in a subscription program to the payment source that you provide to JustAnswer (e.g. credit card, PayPal account). The monthly or yearly subscription fee is refundable until the end of the subscription period.
    • Your Right to Cancel or Sign Up for a New Subscription: You have the right to cancel at any time. To cancel, when you are logged into your JustAnswer account, click the Edit link in the Account Information panel on the left side of the page. On the Edit Your Subscription page, next to Subscription Status, click the Cancel my Subscription Plan button for your unlimited subscription, and click Save Settings. If you agree to a subscription and then later agree to a different subscription, the terms of the later selected subscription will apply and your earlier selected subscription will be cancelled.

    *Fair Use Policy: Subscriptions are intended and authorized only for personal, non-transferrable, not-for-resale use only. Excessive use by any particular customer may impair JustAnswer’s ability to offer subscriptions at reasonable prices to other customers and/or indicate non-personal, transferred or resale use. 

    JustAnswer's Right to Cancel: Notwithstanding any other terms, JustAnswer reserves the right to cancel your subscription or any subscription program in its entirety at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to your excessive use (as determined by JustAnswer in its sole discretion). In the event that JustAnswer cancels a subscription, it will refund the current month's or year’s subscription fee.

7-day trial

  • JustAnswer offers a 7-day trial so you can enjoy all the benefits of a membership plan. At the end of the trial, your membership will automatically continue on a pay-by-month plan so you don’t experience any interruption to your service.

  • During your 7-day trial, you are not billed for your membership. When the trial ends, you will be automatically upgraded to a paid membership plan so you don’t experience any interruption to your service. Your membership will automatically renew at the beginning of each membership period (usually each month).
